Forming in 2003 after Chisato, formerly of the all-female punk band THUG MURDER, and Kenta from the Tokyo metal band REAL SHIT started collaborating, the VICKERS have carved a name for themselves as one of Japan's fiercest rock n' roll acts. They released their first mini-album Stab Your Back which was quickly followed up with three full length albums. The band captured audiences in Tawan when they played the island's Formoz Festival and also have a growing worldwide following.

TRACK LIST:
PACIFICTION REVIEW:Crammed with punk speed, metal stylings and pop hooks, Wake Again will surely grab you by the collar and get you slamming around with your pals. The intro "Doomsday," sets the mood with a heavy metal stomp that breaks down into a rock n' roll riot titled "Stand Up." The fast-paced title track is a punk blitz in the style of the DAMNED. Chisato takes the mic for "Voice" which she sings bright and clear over rock n' roll riffs. "Come On Rudies" is a throwback to days of punks and skins. Punk rock irony and disgust are let loose on "Let's Spend the Night Together" as the lyrics go: "I'm sick of everyone, I'm sick of everywhere, I'm sick of you! Let's spend the night together!" Ending the disc is an ELECTRIC EEL SHOCK-like attempt at melding punk and metal called "Strike Back the Lightning." The VICKER's third release is a testament to their ability to play lightning-fast rock n' roll songs with catchy changes and just the right amount of metal for good measure. |
