One of Taiwan’s original indie bands who were first featured on a TAIWAN COLORS MUSIC compilation with other bands like SODAGREEN and WON FU that have gained an island-wide following, BRACES continue to play indie rock charged with energetic cuteness. Forming in 2000 with acoustic rocker A Chang from 88 GUAVA SEEDS on guitar, they became an all girl band in 2004 when he was enlisisted in obligatory military service and Yifun took over. 2004 saw a productive time for the band, releasing a four song mini-album and headlining Let's Girl! parties alongside other Taiwanese girl bands like B.B. BOMB and HOTPINK. More recently, the BRACES have begun to experiment with brighter new wave sounds and disco punk beats.
